julia’s garden
Julia’s Garden invites you to wander through fragrant roses and soft perennial borders—alive with movement, texture, and seasonal change.
Set against the backdrop of a striking traditional home, this garden is a celebration of structure, softness, and seasonal beauty. Designed for a client who is a passionate gardener, the brief was to create a space that felt timeless and elegant, with the added purpose of being able to pick fresh flowers for the house throughout the year.
The design reflects the home’s traditional architectural style while introducing a contemporary sense of movement and texture. Formal elements such as upright trees and structured rose gardens anchor the space, while lush perennial borders bring in colour and softness. Hydrangeas, lavender, and a mix of white, pink, and purple flowering plants provide long seasonal interest and a dynamic contrast to the formality of the layout.
Working with the garden’s existing framework, we reimagined the landscape to blend seamlessly with the house. A full redevelopment of the driveway, new block and boundary walls, and the addition of a swimming pool transformed the outdoor space both visually and functionally. The planting design is layered and textural, offering seasonal variation and a sense of movement throughout the borders.
